Psychological Characteristics:

Vata-dominant people tend to be more imaginative and enthusiastic. They make friends easily, but might have a harder time holding onto them. They are quick learners, but also quick to forget with a poor long term memory. Vata types tend to be quite active with continuously changing lifestyles.



Physical Characteristics of Vata:


Vata-dominant types tend to have a lighter and thinner frame with more prominent joints and bones. They have thin, dry skin and small, active eyes. Their teeth tend to be small and crooked. The hair is usually dark, thin, dry and can be more frizzy. Their nose, hands and feet are often cold to the touch. They tend to have irregular eating patterns and small appetites. Vata-dominant people have a shorter stamina and perspire less when they exercise. They tend to talk fast, and jump from one subject to the next. They do not tend to have sound sleep and are more sensitive to touch and sound.
