Sweet and Spicy Rice Porridge

Wake up on the Right side of the bed with this comforting bowl of deliciousness.

-Nourishing
-Easy to digest


Ingredients: 
(Serves 2)
  1. 1/2 cup White or Brown Rice Farina (can also use quinoa flakes or oatmeal)
  2. 1 and 1/2 cups water
  3. 1 and 1/2 cups whole organic milk or almond milk
  4. 5 strands of Saffron
  5. 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
  6. 1/2 teaspoon of cardamom powder (preferably you crush the seeds with a mortar and pestle)
  7. 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  8. Sweeten with  maple syrup or honey to taste.

Directions:
  1. In a medium pot, bring water and milk to a boil.
  2. Add spices
  3. Add grains
  4. Boil for 10 minutes 
  5. Add sweetener if desired and enjoy!
