Sweet and Spicy Rice Porridge

Ingredients:

Directions:
(Serves 2)
- 1/2 cup White or Brown Rice Farina (can also use quinoa flakes or oatmeal)
- 1 and 1/2 cups water
- 1 and 1/2 cups whole organic milk or almond milk
- 5 strands of Saffron
- 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1/2 teaspoon of cardamom powder (preferably you crush the seeds with a mortar and pestle)
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- Sweeten with maple syrup or honey to taste.
Directions:
- In a medium pot, bring water and milk to a boil.
- Add spices
- Add grains
- Boil for 10 minutes
- Add sweetener if desired and enjoy!
